Felicia - Certified Dental Assistant. Originally from Down East, Felicia graduated from Coastal Carolina Community College Dental Assisting Program in 2008 and joined the team after graduation. She spends her time with her family, fiancee, and three dogs and enjoys outdoor sports.

Jamie - Office Manager and Team Leader. Originally from Raleigh, Jamie was previously employed in the medical field as a financial coordinator. For the last eight years, she has been a part of this amazing dental team. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running, boating, and spending time with her husband and son.

Heather - Dental Hygienist. Heather has been employed with Dr. Wells since graduating Dental Hygiene School at Coastal Carolina Community College in 2001. She states that Dental Hygiene has been very rewarding for her because it allows her to help people and to educate them about their health. Heather also became certified by the Dental Assisting National Board in 1999 after completing graduation requirements at CCCC, allowing her to be knowledgeable in all aspects of dentistry. She is a Beaufort native so she naturally enjoys anything to do with saltwater, especially boating with her husband Chris. Although Heather and Chris do not have children yet, they do have a chocolate lab Chase who brings much joy to their lives!

Cheryl - Administrative Scheduler. A lifelong resident of Carteret County, Cheryl attended Mount Olive College and Carteret Community College and is certified in clerical/medical skills, medical laws and ethics, and medical terminology. She joined our team in July 2006 and has become the friendly face our patients have come to know at our front desk. Cheryl enjoys reading, photography, and spending time with her husband and children.

Derinda - Certified Dental Assistant. Derinda is originally from Clinton, North Carolina and joined our team in 2007 after practicing as a dental assistant for 33 years. She is a 1975 graduate from the UNC School of Dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Assistant Association (ADAA) in which she is currently working on her fellowship. She is the proud mother of a daughter, son, and daughter-in-law, and enjoys spending time with her husband and family. Her hobbies include being outdoors, reading, and watching the Bogue Sound sunrises and sunsets. Derinda is thankful for all her years in dentistry and is looking forward to many more in Carteret County.

Deidra - Certified Dental Assistant and Team Leader. Deidra grew up in Down East Carteret County in Williston, North Carolina. She completed the Dental Assisting Program at Coastal Carolina Community College in Jacksonville, NC and received her certification through the Dental Assisting National Board. She has been a proud member of our staff for nine years. Deidra spends her time away from work with her husband Jody and enjoying various outdoor activities.

Sue - Dental Hygienist. Sue has been with Dr. Wells since 1987. She graduated from Old Dominion University with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene in 1974. She has been active in the local Dental Auxiliary since she moved to Carteret County in 1974 from Northern Virginia. She has two grown sons, Walt and John, who graduated from North Carolina State University, live in the Raleigh area and are doing well in their professional careers. Sue loves gardening and all water activities that the Crystal Coast has to offer!

Jan - Dental Hygienist. Jan grew up in Carteret County and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene in 1981. She is happily married to her husband who is in the military and will soon retire. She began working in our office during our expansion in the summer of 2008. Jan enjoys boating, walking her three dogs, and spending time outdoors.
